Power of the Spoken Word + Techniques to Communicate with Impact and Sway
At key moments, even the well trained and educated often fail to be highly effective in their communications (thus frittering away precious opportunities) by not being forceful or cogent enough and instead being too feeble, ill-defined, and perfunctory. By examining a profusion of highly instructive examples (illustrating both exemplary and weak real-life communications, and presented via handouts, video clips, slides, and anecdotes) participants will practice and acquire a vast range of verbal and nonverbal techniques to make their important communications (such as when seeking to influence others in the workplace or when dealing with the outside public) indelible, impactful, and persuasive. Bottom line: This course is most valuable for those whose job description requires, and effectiveness depends upon, successfully influencing, exhorting, and goading a large number of people who are not their direct reports.
