Chapter Event - December 2015
Description
First Presenter: Frank Turley – The Project Manager acting as a team coach In contrast to the older project management way, where the project manager is “the boss” and the project management team are bossing in behalf of him, our successful PM systems are now focused on facilitation and collaboration. The project manager and the project management team are facilitators, protectors, and enablers. They make it possible for the talented technical team members to do their job in the best way possible and meet the goals. Instead of planning the project for them, the PM team conducts workshops for them to plan the project, and turn the data into effective information. (e.g. like for the creation of a WBS…); the PM is changing his role from a team leader to more like a team support and team members coach. Frank will explain us some more details about this way of doing project management. Second Presenter: Microsoft presenter A practical use client use case
