Managing Stakeholder Expectations and Relationships
Description
Understanding the unique needs and expectations of project stakeholders—anyone with a vested interest in the successful outcome of a project—is a critical element in managing successful projects. This is especially true in these days of cross-functional teams, matrix managed teams, and virtual or geographically dispersed teams. Managing those stakeholder relationships and ensuring that their requirements are satisfied is key to the success of projects. This course focuses on a stakeholder-based approach in projects and examines what it takes to actively and successfully build and manage relationships with our stakeholders. Aligning with the PMBOK ®Guide, Fifth Edition, it focuses on stakeholder identification, stakeholder management planning, managing, and controlling stakeholder engagement. Key inputs, various tools and techniques, and critical outputs are discussed in detail.
