Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) 101 for Project Managers
With so much focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), it is easy to not know where to even begin. A great place to start is by helping everyone gain a clear understanding of exactly what Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is, and creating a shared understanding of the terms. Terms like bias, microaggressions, privilege, and micro triggers. This shared knowledge and understanding will create the right conditions for ongoing conversations and appropriate actions.
In this dynamic session we will define the most common bias’s and where they show up, as well as microaggressions and micro triggers. We will discuss specific examples of each and help participants gain a clear understanding of exactly what these terms mean and how they cause significant and undue damage to professional relationships, work cultures, engagement, and profitability.
