Students discuss supply chain management as it relates to Project Management. Students develop skills and knowledge about how the management of the supply chain can help a project manager to achieve a high level of product and service quality, while managing project delivery and cost. Areas of study include the following: managing & sourcing suppliers; logistics management; flow of product to customers; internal logistics; the impact of strategic procurement; outsourcing of work; inventory management; structuring the supply chain; global supply chain; contract requirements and terms (terms of trade, terms of payment); and sustainable supply chain.

Schedule and Cost Management
This course provides students with the knowledge and tools required to evolve a Work Breakdown Structure into a project schedule. Students will learn techniques for properly sequencing project tasks, identifying the project’s critical path as well as calculating the amount of positive or negative float within the project schedule. Students will gain a solid foundation in techniques used to estimate the duration and costs associated with all work packages comprising the project schedule. Students will also learn how to monitor whether a project is on schedule and on budget by calculating Earned Value.
